About the site name – Watching the wheels

Simply put, John Lennon’s song watching the wheels (wikipedia) (lyrics) reflects the state of mind I had when I started this site, trying to put aside the hectic high-tech life and to observe life from the side before moving on to the next venture. Written by Lennon, the song concerns his dismissal of those who were confounded by his “househusband” years, 1975-1980.

Having said that, I am also enjoying watching things as they happen, as a bystander – learn from them, talk or write about them. So this site might be used for me to share my views about what I see (at least with myself).

About my picture (Gravatar)

This is how I will look like in 2046.  Well, not quite…
In 2006 I took a quick visit in Ontario Science Center in Toronto, and tried the  Amazing Aging Machine. Originally planned to be used by kids, this machine takes your picture and produces pictures of you in 10,20,30 and 40 years.

Needless to say that in 2006 I was not a kid, so I am not sure how much this picture really represent how I will look like 40 years after 2006, but who knows.
